Obituary of Robert Lawrence Hamilton

Robert L. Hamilton, 70, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Akron General Medical Center. Bob was born December 20, 1944 to Lawrence G. and Mary Zelma (Cash) Hamilton in Akron and lived in the same Akron Home his entire life. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church from the day of his Baptism. He was a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector served several Pastors on the Finance Commission and spent untold volunteer hours helping the parish thrive. He volunteered at IBH and Ronald McDonald House and was a member of K of C Council 3410. Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years Lynn; sons Ed and his former wife Teresa and Matt and his wife Nina; grandchildren Alyssa, Breanna and Olivia Hamilton; sister Betty Glass and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Noel Dukeman and Mary Lou Heidt. Bob often stressed that his funeral was to be a very private affair with minimal fanfare.
