Obituary of Carol Isabelle Krueger

Carol West Krueger, 77, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 after a brief but hard fought battle. Carol was born May 4, 1938 in Galesburg, IL and had been an area resident for most of her life. Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert A. Krueger in 2004 and her brother Thomas G. West. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Jen), Jerald (Julie) and Thomas (Paula) Krueger; sisters-in-law Janet West and Carol Carlisle; grandchildren Nicholas (Kaleena) and Eric (Megan) Valente, Kyle and Elise Krueger, Jessica Beaudry, Bob Krueger and Kathryn and Emily Krueger; great grandchildren Anthony and Giovanni Valente; and many close friends. Carol was a member of Temple Israel and the Temple Sisterhood and taught religious school at the Temple. She was a member and current president of the Akron Women's Club, member and current treasurer of Coach House Theater, member of the Akron Symphony Guild and trustee of the Akron Symphony Orchestra Board and a member of T.W.I.G.S. Carol was a graduate of Northwestern University and taught school in Cuyahoga Falls. She enjoyed traveling. She was a proud and happy mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a zest for life, was a good friend and will be missed by those who knew her. Private graveside services have been held at Brookside Cemetery in Galesburg, IL. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 1st at 2:00 pm at Temple Israel, 91 Springside Dr., Akron, OH 44333. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Robert A.
