Larry Eich

Obituary of Larry William Eich

Larry Eich, 77, died on May 29, 2015. He was a cherished husband, beloved father, and an exceptional grandfather. He was a strong man and a stubborn fighter during his nearly 20 years on dialysis. He stayed determined for as long as he could, until his great heart finally gave out. He always helped those in need - whether it was taking communion to the sick of St. Paul Parish, donating to charities, or taking his friend Jere to church. He defined the very word 'ornery', and was full of jokes and laughter; he was an absolute joy to be around. He will always be deeply and truly loved & held most dear in our hearts. Our lives have all been touched by his love; he is now finally free from all pain and in the loving care of God. Larry will always be greatly missed, intensely loved, and will never be forgotten. Larry was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He proudly served his country for 8 years as a member of the US Army Reserves. He leaves behind his dear wife of 56 Carol; his loving children Rosemary Hill & Richard (Holly) Eich; beloved grandchildren Sarah, Ethan, and Savannah; sister Barbara (Dale) Pribble and nephews Jeff & Kevin Pribble; 'adopted sister' Sister Karen, as well as numerous cousins and family members. A heartfelt thanks goes out to the Akron East Dialysis Center and to all of the doctors and nurses in the Coronary Care Unit at Akron City Hospital for all of the loving care given to Larry. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. (Anthony Funeral Homes, AKRON, 330.724.1281, anthonyfh.com)
