Obituary of Joseph James Pantuso

Joseph James Pantuso, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was born in Akron and retired from General Tire in 1986 after 44 years of service. Mr. Pantuso was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II as an Airship Rigger. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, General Tire Retiree’s Club and the General Tire Golf League at Good Park Golf Course for many years. He was preceded in death by parents, Salvatore and Maranina (Zumpano) Pantuso; wife, Eileen M. (Seprino) Pantuso; brothers, Biagio “Jim” and Frank Pantuso; sister, Erma Linda Marino; and sister-in-law, Mary Pantuso. He is survived by son, Joseph (Marcia) Pantuso, Jr.; daughter, Valli M. Pantuso; sister, Yolanda Schoblocker; sisters-in-law, Louise Pantuso and Rose Seprino; granddaughter, Nina (Adam) Albright; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Asher Albright; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service prayers will begin Monday, 9:15 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
