Obituary of David Dominic Biasella
GREEN - David Biasella, 68, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 26, 2015.
David was born October 29, 1946 to Frank and Mabel (Cootzy) Biasella in Akron and has been an area resident his entire life. He was employed by the City of Akron Water Department for 31 years retiring in 2003. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Snaps Gym, American Legion Garfield Memorial Post and Woody's Breakfast Club. His favorite pastime was visiting casinos.
David will live on in as many as 100 people by the gift of his organs and tissue to Lifebanc.
David is survived by his wife Janice (Myers); children Tamara (Jeff) Futrell, Kristy Biasella and DJ (Carrie) Biasella; grandchildren Ashlee, Kenny, Nathan and Matthew Futrell and Makenna Biasella; great granddaughter Carmella; sister Julie (Jerry) Sipe; nephew Casey Clelland; in-laws Elizabeth, Terry, Steve (Kim) and James (Sue) Myers and a shout out to his best friend Ron Lowe.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE), 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown, OH 44685, and will be followed by military honors. The family will receive friends TODAY 4:30 to 8:00 pm at the Anthony and Son Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd. in Green (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance of off Steese).
