Obituary of Sally J. Cigolle
Sally Cigolle, 70, passed away on April 24th, 2015 in Columbus, after an extremely courageous 7 year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Akron and worked for Akron City Schools being known as the lunch lady for 10 years. She also worked for the Summit County Prosecutor's Office as a case worker for child support for 20 years. Sally was a strong-willed woman who amazed and inspired all who knew her. She never stopped fighting. She loved her grandchildren so much and fought hard to see them grow up. She was determined to live long enough for them to remember her and she did. They will never forget you. We love you, Ba-Ba. The family would like to thank Virginia Snyder of Florida, for her care, support and love. She brought Sally and family comfort that will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by parents Helen and Tony Morra, husband Edward Cigolle, and son Edward Cigolle Jr.
She is survived by daughters Cara (Paul) Denny of Columbus and Samantha (Andrew) Voigt of Columbus, sister Amelia Jurkeiwicz of Norton, lifelong friends Karen Warren of Warren and Diane Shambaugh of Akron, and the "lights of (her) life", grandchildren Leonie Voigt and Eddie Denny.
The family will receive friends Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where a Funeral service will take place at 8 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44308.
