Judy was born in Akron and attended schools in Akron and Manchester. At age 21 she married Randy Cappo and was welcomed with big loving arms by the most generous and kind extended Italian family, The Cappo's. Judy and Randy moved to Kernersville North Carolina a few years later and she gathered more to her loving family in their little hamlet and at UPS where she worked for 33 years. Judy was big, bubbly and full of life and full of fun. She was a friend and neighbor to all, cared for the sick and dying and those simply in need of a friend. Judy was a "Watermelon Whisperer" extraordinaire and Mother Earth to the world. There was never a more loving heart or truer friend than Judy. She delighted in cooking marvelous Southern breakfasts and baking for her extended family. Judy delivered Christmas cookies to neighbors and everyone in her radar for miles around, especially at UPS, shut-ins, retirees and co-workers alike. When she became too ill to bake, she instructed her husband and son in the art of cookie baking and personally distributed the goodies via wheelchair for Christmas, 2014. During her years at UPS, she organized the charity golf outings and fundraisers for her co-workers who were stricken by debilitating illnesses. There were no strangers to Judy, just friends she had not yet met. Everyone who ever met Judy loved her and she returned their love in big huge, heaps of hugs and laughter. Sung and the dedicated medical professionals and caregivers at Novant Health/Forsyth Hospital and the doctors and nurses at Duke Hospital's Transplant Team and suggests donations to Winston-Salem Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the charity of your choice.
