Obituary of Taylor Garner

Taylor Garner, 95, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015. He was born in Decherd, Tennessee and retired from B.F. Goodrich Tire and Rubber Company. Mr. Garner was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Normandy on “D” day during World War II. He was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Barberton and enjoyed gardening. He loved his wife and family very much. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ella Mae (Cherry) Garner; niece, Nancy Randles; great-nieces, Ashley (Scott) Dickerhoof, Donna Cherry and Donna Willis; great-nephews, Curt (Maggie) Randles and Stephan (Kim) Cherry; and many great-great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Committal and entombment will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd. Akron, Ohio 44320 where Military Honors will also be held.
