Obituary of Carmel V. Francu

Carmel V. Francu, 90, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2015 in Pickerington, Ohio. She was born in Niles, Ohio and worked for the Mahoning National Bank. Carmel was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, ladies auxiliary and choir. She enjoyed working at the church fish fries and other church activities. She was preceded in death by parents, Dominic and Maria (Mangino) Prezioso; husband, John N.; and sisters, Rose Biviano and Jenny Kridler. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Michael Billirakis; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Francu; sister, Vera Sulick; and grandchildren, Christine and Cynthia Billirakis, Veronica (Tony) Rosario and Jessica Francu. Funeral service will be held Monday, 12 p.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where Carmel will lie in state and friends may call one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
