Obituary of Richard A. Parsons
Richard A. (Dick) Parsons, 74, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015.
He was born in Akron and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 2003 after 37 years of service. Mr. Parsons was a member of Visitation of Mary Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a volunteer and supporter of the All-American Soap Box Derby.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Delores (Belitsky); daughters, Gia (Dan) Hudak and Joanne (Joey) Arnold; brother, Jim Parsons; and grandchildren, Maddie, Will, Ellie, Katie, Ben and Eva.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10 a.m. at Visitation of Mary Catholic Church, 87 Broad St. Akron, Ohio 44305. (PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH). Fr. Jonathan Zingales officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301.
