Obituary of Richard J. Frank

Richard J. Frank, 81, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, graduated from Youngstown State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and retired from Goodyear Aerospace/Aircraft Braking after 41 years of service. You may recognize Dick as the man making his 2 mile walk to work up Massillon Road every morning and evening for 22 years. He was famous for his many unique sayings and his amusing sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Dick was an active member of St. Mary's and St. Bernard's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was a volunteer at the Barberton Pregnancy Center and the Gennesaret Soup Kitchen. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred (Brosko); daughters, Linda (Vince) Greczanik and Chris (Jeff) Douglas; son, Mike (Holli) Frank; sister, Adeline (Jim) DeLillo; grandchildren, Rachel (Josh) Jansen, Vincent (Kara) Greczanik, Monica (Jeremy) Hess, Nathan, Hannah, Rebekah and Leah Greczanik, Rachelle (Nate) Ede, Jennifer (Mike) O'Neill, Luke, Joe, Patrick, Holli, Maria, Mark, Gianna, Jeffrey and Anthony Douglas and Jake, Kyia and Lily Frank; and great-grandchildren, Caiden, Hailey and Chase Jansen. Funeral service prayers will begin Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made in Dick's honor to Food for the Poor, 6401 Lyons Rd.
