Obituary of William Daniel Spaid

BILL SPAID GREEN - William Daniel Spaid, 47, passed away Tuesday January 26, 2010 at his home. Bill was born January 28, 1962 to the late Sam and Sue (Conces) Spaid in Toledo. Coming to the area as a child he graduated from Copley High School in 1980. He lettered in Football, Wrestling and Track and receive the Chrysler Award his senior year. Bill was a walk-on at Kent State and eventually started at center. He graduated in 1984 with a Bachleor of Fine Art in Photography. He was president of the Akron Rugby Club as well as a power lifter. He was proud of his personal best bench press of 405 lbs. at the age of 46. He loved coaching the 7th Grade Green Bulldog Youth Football team. Bill was an Industrial Salesman for Bay Insulation of Green Bay, WI and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He was also a Browns fan which is evidence of his great loyalty and his undaunted spirit. Bill's family was the real center of his life. He leaves his wife of 21 years, Kathy; his children Samantha, Nathan and Charlotte Spaid; siblings Greg (Sheila) Spaid and son Stephen of Coco, FL and Kate Pistone and her children Nick and Jessica of N Canton; his mother-in-law Jane Price of Canton; his wife's siblings Robin (Jon) Reikowsky their children Jake and Jess of Glenelg, Md, David Price of Canton and Kelly (David) Harris and children Shelby and Ben of Green. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law Gene Price. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 10:00 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontow 44685. Cremation with private interment will follow later. The family will receive friends Friday 4 to 8 Pm at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown, Oh, 44685 (Corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green).
