Obituary of Jane Szymkowicz
Jane Szymkowicz passed away on November 25, 2008 at Falls Village Retirement Community.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA. on October 29, 1920, she lived in New Castle, Pennsylvania until 1961. A graduate of the Holy Ghost Academy in Pittsburgh, PA., she received both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Kent State University. She taught at Nolley Elementary School in the Manchester area for many years and was a charter Member of Queen of Heaven Church. She was previously a resident of the City of Green.
She was preceded in death by husband, Walter in 1966. She is survived by daughter, Sandi Horner of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; daughter, Angie Kelso and husband, Bruce of Charlottesville, Virginia; and son, Scott and wife, Lanette of Mason, Ohio. In addition, are grandchildren, Matt Szymkowicz of Colorado, Rob Kelso of New York City and Kody, Joey and Gabrielle Szymkowicz of Mason, Ohio. The youngest and last sibling of seven children, Jane is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday, November 30, 2008 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Anthony-Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd. in Green. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Fr. David Durkee celebrant. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Queen of Heaven Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown, OH 44685, Harbor Light Hospice, 25 S. Main St. Munroe Falls, OH 44226 or to Falls Village Activity Fund, 330 Broadway East, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, if desired.
