Obituary of Robert E. Stanley
Robert E. Stanley, Sr., 79, passed away April 25th, at The Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Born in Akron in 1927, Bob had been a lifetime area resident. He was employed as a machinist for Ohio Machine and Mold, retiring in 1991 with 35 years of service. Robert served his nation as a member of the Army during WWII. He was a member of The Firestone Park Primetimers.
Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parentsSteve and Eva Stanley. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Betty of Akron; son Robert Stanley Jr. of Brimfield; daughter Janette Honeycutt of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren Lisa (Jim) Wiggins, Robert (Kim) Stanley III, Jason (Monica) Honeycutt, and Jonathan (Shelly) Honeycutt; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends TODAY from 4-8 pm at the The Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 95 W. Waterloo Rd. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Firestone Park Presbyeterian Church.
