Obituary of Viola Gergosky

Viola (Lontchar) Gergosky, 89, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 21, 2007. She was born in Akron, OH and lived in Tallmadge most of her life. She was an active member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church where she volunteered with fund raising activities, singing in the choir and also as a member of the Ladies Guild. Mrs. Gergosky was preceded in death by her husband Victor, parents Blagoja and Petra Lontchar, infant sister Dorothy, brother Robert Lontchar and sister Jane Russell. She will be sadly missed by her brother Louis (Helen) Lontchar; nephews Daniel, Michael and Robert Lontchar; nieces Cheryl (Dewey) Davidson, Susan (Danny) Lane; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 847 Crouse St., Akron, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services, Fr. Robert F. Stash officiating. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd., where a Parastas service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church.
