Obituary of Vernie Hammond

Vernie C. Hammond, born November 16, 1931 went home to be with the Lord and Savior on April 7, 2007. Born in Cullman, Alabama, he was a life long resident of Akron, Ohio. He retired from Babcox and Wilcox with 41 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and sisters, and daughter Sharon Kay. He is survived by his wife Romilda, children; Rick, Susan, and Becky Kay, grandchildren; Angie, Michael, Eric, Matthew, Kevin, Rena, Leah, and Rachel, many great grandchildren, and presious sister Lizzy Turner in Cullman, Alabama. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 95 W. Waterloo Rd. where funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon with Pastor Ray Hylton and Pastor Jimmie Ellis officiating. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
