Obituary of Wilma Behlmaier

WILMA BEHLMAIER Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Wilma Behlmaier went peacefully to her rest on Friday, April 6, 2007. Born June 18, 1915 to Alex and Vera Fekete in Santoy, Ohio, she was blest to live the life everybody would want and she left this life the same way she lived it. She surrounded herself with the love of her family who she lived for and was always there for. She was totally selfless, a true Giver of the Heart. She retired from Saalfield Publishing Company with over 20 years of service and was a long time member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She was an avid crocheter all her life making many beautiful items including lovely afghans for her children and many grandchildren. At the age of 91 you would still find her in the kitchen, cooking and baking her delicious Hungarian goodies, tending her yard and garden, climbing ladders, maintaining and "puttering" about her 2 story home while still finding time to attend her Young Concordians, AARP and Kenmore Seniors meetings. She was a dynamo with energy to spare. But most of all, she loved telling stories about her childhood to her family who she adored. Preceded in death by her dear husband, Karl who she was totally devoted to, Grandson, David Gilmour, Son-in-Law, Al Drobny, Sisters, Margaret Weninger and Vera Fekete, Brothers, Alex, John and Joseph Fekete and Sister-in-Law, Louise Fekete. She is survived and will be sadly missed by Daughters, Ilene Gilmour and Marilyn Drobny, Grandchildren, Diana (David) German, Deborah Ostermann, Laurie Pouncey, Ilene (Leonard) LeRose and Skip (Lisa) Gilmour, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson, Brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Fekete, and Sisters-in-Law, Nancy and Peggy Fekete and a host of nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th at Kucko Anthony Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 West Waterloo Road, Akron, Ohio. Funeral services Wednesday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, Pastor Robert Tauscher officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services. If anyone so wishes, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 724 Sumner Street, Akron, Ohio 44311. We Love You Mom. Thank you for being you!
