Obituary of Cheryl A. Colbert

GREEN - Cheryl A. Colbert, age 47, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the Lord's Day, 1 Apr 2007. She was a member of The Chapel where she followed Him in baptism. Cheryl was a sweet, caring, generous, and loving friend, daughter, sister, wife, step-mom, aunt, and grammy who will be missed greatly. Her passing follows a 2 1/2-year battle with breast cancer. Cheryl was born and raised in Monessen, PA. She graduated at the top of her high school class and earned an Electrical Engineering degree, with honors, from the University of Pittsburgh. Cheryl began her career as an engineer at Lockheed-Martin in Akron where, for 16 years, she developed advanced training systems technology products for U.S. Air Force fighter pilots and special operations forces. She has been an employee of Diebold in Green since 1998 where she was most recently Senior Service Operations Manager for Electronic Security Products in North America. May the Lord bless Cheryl's co-workers and management at Diebold for their compassion and support during her battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Pacy; she is survived by her husband of 23 years, Gary Colbert; step-sons Kevin (Joanne) and Michael (Lisa) Colbert; step-grandchildren Henry, Samantha, and Jack; father Ronald Pacy; step-mother Avis Pacy; sister Lynne (Bob) Beidler; nephews Michael, Nathan, and Jacob. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony & Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road in Green. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at The Chapel in Green, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
