Obituary of Rose M. Caetta
Rose M. Caetta, 86 yrs., died March 16, 2007 of a broken heart. She is now with Frank, her recently departed husband of 69 years, whom she lovingly cared for in his final years. Together they walk hand in hand with Jesus.
She was born in Akron. Rose was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of the ladies guild. Rose loved shopping, bowling, ice cream and cooking. She made the best pizza in the world. She was an advid contest winner and a two time winning contestant in the Pillsbury Bake Off.
Mrs. Caetta is preceded in death by her husband Frank. She dedicated her life to her children; Dennis, Frank Jr. (Elizabeth), John (Pat), Robert (Norma), Christopher (Debra), Daniel (Katherine), Judith (Carl) Vandergrift, Maria Cathers, Susanne (William) Tallmon, Monica Schlager, Kathleen (Steve) Baker, and Patricia (Rick) Buster, sisters; Mary Agnes Carsey and Jane Fonti, brother Jack Fonti, 35 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Robin Smith, their parents aid, who cared for them with great love. God sent Sister Karen of St. John Catholic Church to Rose, providing her with years of friendship and spiritual comfort. Thank you to Ridgewood Hospice Center for providing a supportive sanctuary for our family to gather.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1034 Brown St. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home where a rosary will be said at 7:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Center 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron 44333.
