JOHN R. ZINK PV2
John R. Zink, beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend, was taken from us suddenly on March 12th, 2007 in El Paso, Texas. John was born on January 30, 1986 in Plano, Texas, and was a life long resident of the Akron-Canton Area. He graduated from Jackson High School in 2004, and entered the armed forces in May 2006. John served his country proudly in the U.S. Army with the rank of private, at Fort Bliss, in the 108th Air Defense.
To those that knew and loved him, John was a great young man that would do anything for anyone. John brought a smile to those in his life just by his presence. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and was passionate about his cars and all his electronic toys. John has touched many lives and his memory will go on forever.
John was preceded in death by his grandfather John Zink Jr. He is survived by his mother and father John and Kay Zink, sisters Stephanie and Emily, Grandparents; Barbara Zink-Aman, James R. and Geraldine Somerville, Aunts and Uncles; Susan Eagle (children- Megan, Rob), Paul and Julie Haller (children- Charlene, Alex, Erich, Laura), James R. and Laura Somerville (children- James, John), Joseph and Kim Zink (children- Erika), Michael and Diana Hazlett (children- Jacob, Joshua, Mikhayla, Ryan), Daniel and Kristen Zink (children- Marisa, Gabrielle, Max), Tony and Margaret Aman (children- LoriAnne, A.J.) and Andrea Aman. He is also survived by his best friend forever, Jennifer Burns, his Marine brother, Devin Jones, his Army brothers, and many close friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00am at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with full military honors . The family will receive friends SUNDAY 2 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Donations may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 3430 St. Michael Blvd. NW Canton, Ohio 44718.
