Obituary of Jerry Donelan

Jerry A. Donelan, 69, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Hospice Care Center. A lifelong Akron resident, Jerry earned his B.A., and M.B.A. from the University of Akron. He was employed by Babock and Wilcox for 25 years. He was a veteran of the US Army attaining the rank of Captain while commanding a NIKE artillery battery. Jerry was a memeber of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Mr. Donelan was preceded in death by his father Ray of Reliance S. Dakota, He is survived by his mother Viola (Cox) Donelan, his beloved wife and friend of 46 years Christl (nee Wegner); sons and daughters-in law Eric and Susan of Wheaton, Ill., Brian and Beth of Jackson Twp., and Stephen and Renee of State College , Pa., grandchildren Hannah, Grace, Michael, Abigail, Bradley, and Michelle Donelan, and numerous friends. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Saturday March 10, 2007 at St. Francis de Sales Church. Private inturnment to be held at the covenience of the family.
