Obituary of Illes Peter Santa

Illes P. Santa "Al Santa", 54, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012. He was born in Vienna, Austria and was a computer engineer with Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems for 35 years. He formerly attended the South Akron Apostolic Christian Church. A long time supporter of AA, taught 12-Step classes, a member of Goodyear Ski Club and Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity Northwestern Chapter. He enjoyed skiing, golf, billiards, and scuba diving. He was preceded in death by parents, Tibor and Roza Santa; and is survived by sisters, Viktoria (Donald) Arvidson, Izabella Bowman, Rosemary (Shawn) Vester, Laura (David) Higgins and Sally (Joe, Jr.) Sykes; brothers, Tibor, Jr. (Wanda), Kornel (Rebecca), Daniel, Joe, Samuel and Andrew (Christine) Santa; aunt, Margaret Betz; uncle, Steve and Elizabeth; and many nieces, nephews, vast family members and friends. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, 5 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44301. The family will receive friends Saturday, 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haven of Rest Rescue Mission, 175 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44308.
