Obituary of Shawn P. Sullivan

Shawn P. Sullivan, 71, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Shawn proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He took great pride in being a faithful employee with an exceptional work ethic for over 34 years as an electrician at Goodyear in Akron. He recently retired leaving many great friends behind. Shawn enjoyed spending time with family and friends by going fishing and working out at Portage Lakes Fitness Center. Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by parents Raymond and Mary; brother Larry; and first wife Joanne. He is survived by wife Nancy; children Lynn (Mike) Essy, Mark (Mary) Sullivan, Shawn Sullivan, Michael (Lisa) Sullivan; brother James (Kathy) Sullivan; sister-in-law Joyce Sullivan; grandchildren Jacob Essy, Nicholas, Shawn, Joanna and Patrick Sullivan. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd. and 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery where military services will be held. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
