Obituary of Thomas K. Harnack
Thomas Karl Harnack, 50, passed away February 7, 2007 in Cuyahoga Falls.
Born in Akron in 1956, Tom was raised in the falls and moved to Celina, OH in 1994. Tom was a graduate of The Redeemer Christian School and attended Cuyahoga Falls High School. He served his country as a member of The Navy aboard The USS Lexington during The Vietnam War. Tom worked as a computer Tech for Komori, Inc.
Thomas was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Porter; sister Carolyn; grandparents Fred and Audrey Harnack; niece Christa Stanley. He is survived by his father and step-mother Karl and Esther Harnack of Cuyahoga Falls; sons Nathaniel and Jeremy Harnack of Tallmadge; grandchildren Alexis, Andrea, Lilyanne, and Corbett; sisters and brothers-in-law Diana Gerber of Cuyahoga Falls, Audrey and Charles Lutz of Atwater, OH, Dr. Cindy Jeney of St. Joseph, MO, and Karla and Robert Bonora of Las Vegas, NV; aunts Eileen Bradfield and Nancy (Roger) Brislinger; nieces Lisa (Steve) Beech, Sarah Lutz, Liliauna Bonora, and Karsyn Bonora; nephews Robert (Melissa) Gerber, Dennis (Deena) Gerber, Michael Bof, and Lee (Stacey) Lutz; good friend John Shepherd and many other cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-8 pm at The McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home (at 3rd st., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls). Funeral services will be held Monday at noon at Redeemer Lutheran Church on 5th st. in Cuyahoga Falls. Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. VFW Ralph Huff Post #1062 will conduct military honors at the church. Per his wishes, Thomas will be buried at sea by the US Navy. Donations in Thomas' memory may be made to The Hospice of Summa 525 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44304. or to The Humane Society 4904 Quick Rd. Peninsula, OH 44264.
