Obituary of Harold C. Tolliver

Harold C. (Pat) Tolliver Harold C. (Pat) Tolliver, 92, died Friday, February 2, 2007 at Akron General Medical Center. Born to the late James and Martha (Sturgill) Tolliver on January 16, 1915 in Buchtel, Ohio, he had been an area resident for many years. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber in the Air Foam Division until 1964 and then by United Foam until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Firestone Park Presbyterian Church and had been a graduate of the Goodyear Squadron. Pat was proud to be a veteran of the US Air Force during W.W.II. He saw action on Iwo Jima and had attained the rank of Captain. He was also an avid golfer and never lost his love of cooking from his days in the Air Force. Mr. Tolliver is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred; son Dale M. of Portland, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Anthony Bisesi of Green; grandchildren Tony (Kristine) Bisesi, Tami (Brian) Flenner and Jill and Lisa Tolliver; great grandchildren Kyle, Justin, Kaleb, Erin, Paige, Ryan and Logan; He was also preceded in death by his beloved son William in 1990, 6 brothers and 2 sisters and would wistfully referred to himself as the last leaf on the tree. Funeral services will be held Monday 1:00pm at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (Corner of Steese and Massillon Roads in Green). The family will receive friends TODAY 1 to 3pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Firestone Park Presbyterian Church, 275 S. Firestone Blvd. Akron, Ohio 44301.
