Obituary of Danylo Kozak
Danylo Kozak, 81, passed away February 1st, 2007 at Akron General Medical Center.
Born in Ukraine in 1925, Danylo has been an area resident since 1956, when he immigrated from England after meeting his bride, Theresia Berger. He was employed as a technician at The Ohio Edison Gorge Plant, retiring in 1988 with 15 years of service and was a member of The Ohio Edison Men's Club. He also worked as a baker at the Taystee Bakery for 17 years. Danylo was a member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Mr. Kozak was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Theresia; sons and daughters-in-law Peter and Teresa Kozak of Norton and Daniel and Pamela Kozak of Naperville, IL; daughter and son-in-law Irene and Robert Dyer of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren Alex and Andrew Kozak and Kelly and Billy Allen; extended family Pauline, Luba, Edward, and Cleo Halamay.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-4 pm at The Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 95 W. Waterloo Rd., where a Parastas will be held at 3:30 pm. Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:30 at the funeral home and continue with funeral services at 10:00 am at The Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
