Obituary of Edward L Kocsis

Edward L. Kocsis Sr. passed away January 20, 2007 after a prolonged battle with Parkinson's Disease, in the arms of his wife and daughter. Ed is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years Agnes, daughter Barbara Ann (Charles E. DuVall Jr.), sons Ed Jr. (Holli) and Jim (Dana), sisters Florence Foltin and Helen Orlosky, granddaughter Kristin Kocsis and step granddaughter Summer Scanlon. We miss you Pop already and you will be forever in our hearts. Born in Johnstown Pa. on October 3, 1924, Ed retired from the Akron Board of Education, was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church for over 50 years and proudly served during WWII in the United States Marine Corps, 5th Marine Division through the entire battle of Iwo Jima. We would like to extend a special thanks and gratitude to the staff of Traditions at Bath and also Visiting Nurse Hospice for the loving care provided. The family will receive friends Wednesday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St Paul's Catholic Church on Brown St. with Mass starting at 11 a.m. Private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
