Obituary of Cora Yellen

Cora Yellen, 81, of Akron passed away June 19, 2012. She was born in Pennsylvania on May 29, 1931. Cora was loved by everyone she knew. Cora loved her garden, birds and faithful cats Nina and Sweetie Pie. She is survived by her daughter Chrissy Murphy (Rick Bailey); grandchildren Ashley Murphy (Vicki Bradford), Erica Murphy (Mike Malcosky), Anthony Murphy, Paige Murphy, and Maranda and Courtnae Bailey; great grandsons, Cameron Murphy and Michael Malcosky, Jr.; and ex-son-in-law, James Murphy, Jr. She will be deeply missed by all of her neighbors including, Ginger Weber and Linda Burkey, as well as Joe Deltour who was like the son she never had. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) in Cuyahoga Falls where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 North Main Street, Akron, OH. 44310 or to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, Canfield, OH. 44406.
