Obituary of Gerald D. Mullins

Gerry Mullins, 69, passed away January 1st, 2007 at Akron City Hospital. Born in Woodbine, WV in 1937, Gerry had been an area resident for most of his life. He was previously employed by American Printing until 2000 and also worked as a security guard after he retired. Gerry is survived by his wife of 35 years Kathy of Akron; sons Bryan, Jeff, and Gary of Akron; daughters and sons-in-law Bev and Jeff Smrekar of Akron, Ann and Keith Sipert of Texas, and Marcia and Bryan Rafferty of Akron; sister and brother-in-law Ruby and Dick Winter; brother Curt of Akron; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of the CCU and 4E at City Hospital for the loving care that they gave Gerry. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 pm at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 95 W. Waterloo Rd. where the family will receive friends 10:00 am until the time of the service. Pastor Dennis Gamber of Highview Baptist Church officiating. Private Interment at Northlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
