Obituary of John W. Sams

John W. Sams, passed away quietly after a long illness, on December 31, 2006. He was born January 7, 1930 in Belleville West Virginia, to Elmer and Mary (Shaffer) Sams. A veteran of the Korean War, he retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 36 years, and was a member of the American Legion. He continued to garden, hunt and enjoyed fishing. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosemary (Vasuta) Sams, daughter in law Lori (Gump) Sams, three sisters and one brother in West Virginia. He is survived by daughters; Roseann (Jim) Skinner, Beth (Jerry) Lange, sons; Jeffrey (Vonda) Sams , and Thomas Sams (fiancee Jeanelle Fouts) her children Chase and Alex Fouts, grandchildren; Sarah and Emily Skinner, Tyler and Travis Sams, McKenzie and Garrett Sams, brother Carl Sams of West Virginia, sisters Doris Hale of Ohio, Leona Weekly of West Virginia, and Kay Lucas of Florida. "Special thanks to the girls from Anna's Home Health Care, Lois, Erin, and Dreama." Funeral services will be Friday 1 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 95 W. Wateroo Rd. where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Interment Restland Cemetery.
