Obituary of Harry Thomas Caston

Harry T. Caston, 88, died on January 11, 2015. Born in Akron, Harry was a life long area resident. He retired from Schwebel and Taystee Bakeries in 1989 after 37 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Cuyahoga Falls. Harry served in the US Navy Amphibious Forces during WWII in the South Pacific and was discharged in 1946. Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Theresa; parents Henry & Nettie Caston; brothers Ralph, Carl, Earl, & Dale. Harry was surrounded by a loving family and is survived by his many children and their spouses, Diane & Kevin Dekany of Akron, Lawrence Caston of Avon, Mark & Susan Caston of Avon Lake, Chris & Robin Caston of Cuyahoga Falls, Mary & Ben Partin of Escondido, CA, John & Laura Caston of Jefferson, OH, Monica Caston of San Rafael, CA, Catherine & Richard Diefenderfer of Naperville, IL, Lisa & Erik Kenning of Anchorage, AK, Caroline Highhouse of Bowling Green, OH, and sponsored son Charles Onyeulo, who was born in Nigeria and now resides in New York; sister-in-law Mary Caston; Harry was blessed with many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Singler on Monday June 29th, at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. An entombment of ashes will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Visitation

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Singler on Monday June 29th, at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  An entombment of ashes will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary.
