Obituary of Lue Marie Polasky
Lue Marie Polasky, 86, died Sunday, January 4, 2014 surrounded by her family at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Marie was born on May 24, 1928 in Akron to the late Emmitt and Lela Mae Brannan. She married Edward Polasky and raised their three children. Marie was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, the Stark County American Legion Auxiliary, and was the first director of the City of Green Beautification Program. She loved Walt Disney World, QVC, and those kids from the Jersey Shore. She was a strong woman, with a wonderful sense of humor, who always took care of her family and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward. She is survived by her children Linda (Ron) Nemer, Mark (Andra) Pol asky, and Lisa Polasky; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and her faithful pets, Ginger & Missie.
The family is grateful to the staff at the Hospice Care Center for their compassionate care during Marie's last days.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7, from 5-7 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave, in Akron, immediately followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
