Obituary of Nick Flora
Nick Flora, born January 8, 1922 in Warren, Ohio, went Home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 3, 2015. He was a special man to all who knew him, as a husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He was one of a kind.
Nick grew up in Warren, Ohio, but moved to Chicago after serving in the Navy in WWII. He then moved back to Akron where he met his wife and life partner for 63 years, Anne, who preceded him in going home to heaven. He worked over 40 years for Logan Metal and Stamping.
Nick loved to read, and his favorite book was the Bible. He was a wealth of information about the Scriptures, especially to his children and friends and the children he taught in Sunday School for over 35 years. He was a faithful member of the Chapel for the last 50 years and many many boys and girls had the opportunity to be a part of his classes where he taught them about Jesus and how He loved them. That was Nick's unfailing message throughout his life. He looked for every opportunity to share his faith and love for his Savior. He was a member of The Chapel choir for 30 years also.
Nick was preceded in death by his wife, Anne; parents, Nick and Teresa Flora; and sister Virginia. He is survived by son Rick (Chris), daughters Nancy (Ray) Satterblom and Janet Flora; sister, Olivia Yova; grandchildren Erik, Adam, and Amy Flora and Kyle (Sarah), Nick (Rebekah), and Kevin (Courtney) Satterblom; great- grandchildren Josiah, Briella, Micah, Moriah, Noah, Ellianna, Easton, Beckham, and Autumn.
