Obituary of Joyce Grant

Rochelle Joyce Grant, 79, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 surrounded by her family. Joyce was born in Barberton on August 28, 1935 to Silas and Alma Righter. She married Sherman W. Grant in 1953. She worked for many years as a beautician, owning her own salon, "Rochelle's Hair Fashion" in Cuyahoga Falls. Joyce was a member of the Tyler Garden Club, the Green AARP, and the Angels Group. She attended St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. Joyce loved arranging flowers for the township fairs, sewing Teddy Bears and Renaissance customized Santa Claus's at Christmas time. She studied art under Jack Richards and recreated beautiful treasures at "Anachronism," a local antique shop, for many years. Joyce is survived by her husband of 61 years, Sherman; children Victoria (Ed) Straub of Clarksville, IN, Kimberly (Michael) Annunziata of Englewood, FL & Paul (Angie) Grant of Manchester; sisters Jeanne Eckroad & Cindy (John) Righter-Regan; grandchildren Eric (Natalie) Roellig, Melinda Roellig, Valerie Annunziata, Michael Annunziata, Silas Grant & Jacob (Nichole) Grant; and great-grandsons Jacob and Daniel; beloved friend Mae Packen; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, December 14 from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, Anthony & Son Chapel, 4178 Massillon Rd in Green (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese).
