Obituary of Phyllis Lucille Disque
Phyllis Lucille Disque was born September 9, 1928 to Hughie and Florence (Sours) Beegle in Akron. She passed into the arms of her Savior on December 3rd, 2014.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Kenmore High School in 1947. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and wonderful homemaker and cook. She enjoyed entertaining her many faithful friends.
She was an active member of the Akron Baptist Temple where she was a Sunday school teacher for 22 years, and she served at the information center. She loved the Lord, and her faith and family were central to her life.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 63 years, Fred Disque; daughters and their husbands, Debra and William Tsoufiou, Renee and Fred Zumpano; and grandchildren, Steven Tsoufiou, Michael and Michelle Zumpano. She also leaves sisters Marilyn Wile and Carol Netherton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Marty Disque.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, 12:00 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
