Obituary of Jerome Thomas Galang

Jerome Thomas Galang, 29, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 28, 2014. Jerome was born on December 23, 1984 in Akron to parents, Sharon Lipps and Manuel Galang. He was a 2003 graduate of Copley-Fairlawn High School, and he attended the University of Akron. Jerome was a character; he could walk into a room of strangers and leave with a dozen new friends. He could be counted on to make you laugh and smile, and he will be forever missed by his family and friends. Jerome is survived by his mom and dad, Sharon and Thomas Lipps; father, Manuel Galang; siblings, Nicholas Galang, Jessica (Jake) McDowell, Christopher Houck and Christina Houck; nephews, Trent Bensinger, Lee Bensinger, Maddox Houck; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, loved ones and friends. A funeral service will be heldat 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, at the Anthony Funeral Home, Anthony & Son Chapel, 4178 Massillon Rd., in Green (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese), where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made to the Interval Brotherhood Home, 3445 S.
