Obituary of Richard 'Dick' Beal

Richard 'Dick' Beal, 77, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2014, surrounded by his family & friends. Born on August 6, 1937 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late James & Hilda Beal, Dick was a lifetime resident of Cuyahoga Falls. He worked as a carpenter for 35 years before joining the Cuyahoga Falls Parks & Recreation Department, retiring in 2013. Dick was a proud supporter of the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tiger Football Team, and attended almost every game for over 50 years. He loved NASCAR and later in life enjoyed traveling with his wife Donna and his loyal dog Buttons. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his sister Mary and brothers James, William, & Donald. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna; daughters Cathy (Uwe) Doerken, and Deborah & Diane; son David (Georgia) Brown; grandchildren Mikah Doerken and Christopher & Garrett Brown; brothers Ray, Roy, & John Beal, as well as many nieces & nephews. A funeral will take place on Friday, 7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dick's memory can be made to any local animal shelter.

A funeral will take place on Friday, 7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dick's memory can be made to any local animal shelter.
