Obituary of Thomas P. Golina

Thomas P. Golina, 68, of Akron, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born April 28, 1946 in Akron to the late Joseph and Amelia Golina. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph and by his first wife, Nancy. He attended Akron North High School. Most recently, he was employed as manager of Bumper to Bumper Auto Recyclers. Tom was proud of his Italian heritage and his knowledge of cars, but most of all, he loved his children dearly. He is survived by his sister, Theresa Golina of Akron; by children, Mark Golina and Jennifer Golina of Akron, Nicholas Golina and Sophia Golina of Canton; by a granddaughter, Chloe Golina Cusimano; by nieces, Lori Golina and Kris Golina; and by nephew, Steven Golina. In respect of his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. A Mass honoring his life will be scheduled later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's name to the charity of your choice.
