Obituary of Leo E. Landoll

Leo E. Landoll, 88, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 in Chestertown, Maryland. He was born in Cleveland and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel in Akron. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II and retired from Ohio Edison after 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Quinn); brother, Edward Roerig; and sister, Veronica Wilson. He is survived by his sons, Leo M. (Mary) and Terrence (Haeng Sook) Landoll; daughters, Cherylann Sommerfeldt, Lorita (Miklos) Gaspar and Mary Kay (Mike) Church; sisters, Sister Adelaide Landoll and Leona Cox; sister-in-law, Bernita Weigand; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and companion, Jane (Studebaker). Funeral service prayers will begin Monday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 followed by Requiem High Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 2935 Chenowith Rd. Akron, Ohio 44312. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio. The family will receive friends Sunday, 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home where a Rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland, 2600 Lander Rd.
