Obituary of Catherine A. Palumbo

Catherine (Kaye) Palumbo, 86, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was an Akron area resident for most of her life and was a member of The Chapel of Akron. She enjoyed being a Florida "Snow Bird" with her husband Louie. She loved dogs and also enjoyed entertaining. A special thank you to caregiver Angie Gregory and to all of the staff at the Canton Christian Home for their compassion and kindness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis in 2003; and is survived by daughters, Anna Marie (Sherman) Gandee and Karen (David) Clements; grandchildren, Jaimee and Daniel Gandee and Katie Clements; brothers, Harvey and John (Ann) Jenrette; sister, Jean Robinson; and twin sister, Charlotte (Lee) Fulks. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canton Christian Home, 2550 Cleveland Ave. N.W. Canton, Ohio 44709.
