Obituary of Anna Carr

Anna Car, 92, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on October 10, 2014 in Orlando, FL. Anna was born in Ukraine on December 11, 1921 to Peter and Maria Cucup. She survived World War II and came to America in 1949, settling in New York City. Anna worked for the Metropolitan Hospital and the City of New York, retiring in 1984. She was a long-time member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Anna was a kind, considerate and forgiving woman; she will be missed by her family & all who knew her. Anna was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1978. She is survived by her daughter Irene Dobosh; grandchildren Michael Dobosh & Tracy Kyker; great-grandson Devin Johnson; niece Mary (Anthony) Fanizzi & nephew John (Susan) Josef. The family will receive friends & family on Monday, October 20, from 9:30-10:30 am at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, with a Panahida service at 10:15 am. A Divine Liturgy will follow at 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1866 Brown St, in Akron. Visitation

Main St. in Akron, with a Panahida service at 10:15 am.  A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1866 Brown St, in Akron.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
