Obituary of Flora Popa
Flora Popa, 95, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2014.
She was born in Akron and was a lifetime resident of the area. She retired from P.I.E. in 1976 after 38 years of service and was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church and Ladies Auxiliary and the Cauldron Ladies Auxiliary of the Masons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; sister, Helen; and brother, Daniel. She is survived by her son, George E. Popa; daughters, Patricia (David) Groza and Barbara (Samuel) Kosa; grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) and Jason (Shala) Groza, Katherine Kosa, Laura (Michael) Nolan, Rachel (Chuck) Weber and Abby Popa; and great-grandchildren, Avery Nolan, Jacob Weber and Lincoln and Lyndon Groza.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where Flora will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
