Obituary of Kenneth Alfred Callow
Kenneth Alfred Callow (aka Kenny Day) joined the celestial choir on October 10, 2014. He was born February 20, 1932, to Alfred and Lilly (Piper) Callow in Birmingham, England.
He spent most of his adult career as a professional entertainer, band leader, singer, and comedian. Later he was employed by Carnival Cruise Lines as a performer and within 3 months became a cruise director. It was on a cruise that he met his future wife, Barbara (Cormany/Blazewick) on April Fool's Day in 1988. They were married Labor Day weekend the same year. Upon his retirement from the entertainment industry, he became an educational assistant with Akron Public Schools. For the next 15 years he loved helping "special students" before Parkinson's caused him to retire 4 years ago.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Barbara of Akron; step-son, Steve (Emanuella) Blazewick of Hollywood CA; daughter, McKenna (Steve) and grandson, Alexander Charlton of London, England; and two sisters, Janet Campbell and Pat Beasley of England.
