Obituary of Mildred 'Mitzi' Christoff

Mildred 'Mitzi' Christoff, 90, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Cumming, Georgia. Mitzi was born on September 16, 1924 to Mike and Helen Elich in Leetonia, OH. She married Milan Christoff and lived in Akron most of her life. She worked at Aid Drug Store and was a member of St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church, and the Circle of Serbian Sisters. Mitzi loved to dance the Serbian kolo at the many festivals she attended. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family where she was always the life of the party. Mitzi was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Helen; and husband Milan in 1963. She is survived by her children David (June) of St. Louis, MO and Meriellen (David) Arenz of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Stephanie (Keith) Patterson, Christopher (Peggy) Cole, Kevin Christoff and Steven Christoff; and great-grandchildren Mackenzie & Conner Cole, and Ava, Truman, Lyla, & Nolan Patterson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 6 at 12:00 PM, at the St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church, 3106 Ridgewood Road, in Copley, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior.
