Obituary of Walter Ball

Walter Ball, 85, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at Akron City Hospital. Walter was born January 28, 1929 in England and was the youngest of 16 children. He came to the United States in the 1950's and had been a longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls. He was employed by Ford Motor Co. at the Walton Hills Stamping Plant for 35 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed outdoor activities especially hiking and camping. Preceded in death by his son, Tom Hazard; Walter is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Gainer); children, Ray (Joyce) Ball, Pauline (Dr. Sheldon) Roberts, Paul (Shelly) Hazard, and Denise (Bruce) Johnson; grandchildren, Joey and Daniel Ball, Kyle, Hillary and Trevor Roberts, Katie, Nick, Megan, and Matthew Hazard, and Allie, John Paul and Robert Johnson; great-grandchildren, Corrine, Joe and Danielle Ball. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dagmar; and grandson, Chuck Ball.
