Obituary of John T. Luc
John T. Luc, 62, passed away on September 26, 2014. Born in Akron, Ohio; he was a long time resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Hudson, Ohio and recently moved to North Ridgeville, Ohio. John passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the Palliative Care unit of the Cleveland Clinic.
A recent retiree of Merrill Lynch, John was a stockbroker for 37 years. Nicknamed "The Big Guy", he loved spending time with family and friends, laughing, joking, playing his guitar, and vacationing in Gulf Shores, AL.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Rose Luc, beloved sister Carol, and infant sister Rosie.
John is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Susan (Granito), son Eric, daughter and son-in-law Abby and Rob Hall. Survived by siblings: Bill, Dan, Mike, and Mary (Luc) Stotler, their spouses, and his special niece Laurie (Paris) Connell. He was a beloved Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Akron, New Orleans, and Texas.
John was also blessed with many great friends.
A Memorial service to celebrate John's life is being planned with Anthony Funeral Home, Akron OH. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Akron-Canton Regional FoodBank. (akroncantonfoodbank.org)
The Luc family is grateful to the Doctors and Nurses of the Cleveland Clinic for all they did for John. His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all...he requested "See, I told you I didn't feel well, " be engraved on his headstone.(Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281, www.anthonyfh.com)
