Obituary of JoAnn Elizabeth Kovach

JoAnn E. Kovach, 79, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 7, 2014 at her home. JoAnn was born on April 4, 1935 in Akron to John and Agnes Vercuski. She was a devoted mother of 6, grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 7; her love for her six children was abundant and tireless. JoAnn worked as a secretary for Apex Electric in Akron, retiring in 2008. She will be greatly missed by her family and the many other lives she touched. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Vercuski; sister Elaine Waple; and brother John Vercuski. She is survived by her children Krista (Bill) Stroud, Connie (Wynn) Miller, Jim (Debbie) Kovach, John (Suzanne) Kovach, Karen Kovach and Janice (Dale) Vernyi; brother Phil (Sharon) Vercuski; grandchildren Joshua (Jill) Miller, Rachel Miller, Hannah Miller, Jimmy Kovach, Megan Kovach, Kyle Vernyi, Madeline Vernyi, Elizabeth (Michael) Cosser, & Ashley (Scott) Phillips; great-grandchildren Kamryn, Janele & Brady Miller, Zachary, Zoey & Zadie Cosser and Charlie Phillips; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at 12PM on Friday, September 12 at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
