Obituary of Jack P. Bahmer

-CUYAHOGA FALLS John 'Jack' P. Bahmer, 71, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2014. Born in Youngstown, OH on December 8, 1942 to the late Joseph & Ethel Bahmer, Jack had been a Cuyahoga Falls resident for over 42 years. He was a graduate of Youngstown Ursuline High School & Youngstown State University where he earned a degree in accounting. Jack was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. He worked for the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. as an accountant for over 23 years and retired from FedEx in 2005. Jack served a tour of duty in Vietnam as a member of the US Army. Jack was an avid golfer and played in leagues at Firestone CC, Mayfair CC, & Turkeyfoot Golf Club. He volunteered as a basketball & volleyball coach for CYO sports at Immaculate Heart of Mary. Jack loved to attend sporting events at Archbishop Hoban High School and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in CYO Sports. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Mary Ann; his children Tim (Christine), Dan (Joan), Chris, Kim (Mike) Sines, & Jackie (Steve) Dunn; grandchildren John, Kyle, Mara, Brad, Jack, Andrew, & Erin Bahmer; brother Joe (Betty Jean) Bahmer, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, & other family members. The family will receive friends on Friday, 4-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. James Singler on Saturday, 10:00 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Father Mcintyre Fund c/o Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or to the Archbishop Hoban High School Scholarship Fund 1 Holy Cross Blvd. Akron, OH 44306.

Visitation

The family will receive friends on Friday, 4-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls.
