Obituary of William Roberts

William Roberts, 75, fell asleep in the Lord on Monday, August 18, 2014. He was born in Akron and was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. William retired from Bridgestone-Firestone in 2006 after 45 1/2 years of service. Thank you to the staff at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Care Center. He was preceded in death by parents, Steve and Mary (Shopa) Roberts; brother, Theodore; sisters, Petrina Kepenash, Tillie Merrell and Martha Roberts; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Henkel and Jerry Merrell. He is survived by sister, Olga Henkel; brother-in-law, Theodore Kepenash; nephews and nieces, Mike (Patti) Kepenash, Martha (Rob) Glogore, Michele (Craig) Bashein, Karen Williams, Paula (Franson) Nwaeze and Michael Merrell; great-nephews and great-niece, Alec, Lauren and Kyle Bashein and Justin Glogore. Funeral service and calling hours will be private for the family. Very Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment at East Akron Cemetery.
