Obituary of Charles Edward Tamme
GREEN - Charles E. Tamme, 88, died peacefully surrounded by family, Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Summa Akron City Hospital.
He leaves his wife, of 43 years, Nancy L. (nee Triscori); son F. Michael (Sheila) of Rochester, NY and St. Louis MO; daughter Catherine A. of Cleveland; grandchildren Michael and Elizabeth Tamme and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles was born in Danville, KY and served in Italy during WWII with the Army Air Corps. As a movie theater manager, he transferred to Kent OH before moving to Green in 1975 and retired from Cleveland based National Theater Corp. He was a long time parishioner of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Green.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Patti (nee Larkin) Tamme; six siblings; and his first wife Anna M. (nee Tuttle) in 1970.
The family is grateful to the staffs at the Summa CCU and Palliative Care Departments for their professional and kind care in his last days.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday 11:00 am in Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown 44685. Interment will take place Friday at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Food for the Poor, Inc. 6401 Lyons Rd., Coconut Creek FL 33073.
